What compression PSI rating is guaranteed for used engines?
Gasoline engines are guaranteed to show a minimum of 150-185 PSI per cylinder with less than 10% variance across cylinders. Diesels are tested to 380+ PSI.
What is the difference between a long block and a short block engine?
Our engines are sold as Complete Long Blocks (engine block, cylinder heads, valvetrain, valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover included). Accessories like alternator, starter, and A/C compressor are transferred from your original vehicle.
Can I request a video of the engine compression test?
Yes! We record digital compression gauge readings and endoscopic camera scans for every engine before crating.
